As predicted, Tuesday in Boston was unpleasant as far as nice spring days go.
Going about our business is suffused with a delay-induced let down, the delay being warmer, sunnier weather.
But methinks starting tomorrow, we’ll have a week of spring weather.

Q. Do any of us work beside one of those irritating, always-cheerful people?
We can count them as blessings on such days.
We rely on them to bring sunshine to our workdays.
We welcome them most enthusiastically on these where-is-spring days.
Nay, on such days, their presence is mandatory.
Come, cheerful ones.
Warm us with your burn-brightly smiles.

After Wednesday, the next week promises temperatures not to fall below 62* and only one day of rain.

Let’s make sure we enjoy each day coming.
The hours are ticking away and if we don’t make the most of our time another day will soon click past.
Unnoticed.
Unappreciated.

Tick Tock.
In clock language:

Enjoy today.
Enjoy the week.

Our 418th consecutive posting, committed to 5,000.
After 418 posts we’re at the 8.36 percentile of our commitment, the commitment a different way of marking the passage of time.

Time is 4.01am.
On Wednesday, Boston’s temperature will reach a high of 59* with a feels-like of 57* with a mix of sun and clouds.

Dinner Tuesday night was a simple roast chicken with shallots and artichokes, one of my favorites.

Who is Mikhail Baryshnikov?

Chuckle of the Day:

A guy is reading his paper when his wife walks up behind him and smacks him on the back of the head with a frying pan.
Rubbing his head, "What was that for?"
"I found a piece of paper in your pocket with Betty Sue written on it."
"Jeez, honey, remember last week when I went to the track? Betty Sue was the name of the horse I went there to bet on."
She shrugs and wordlessly walks away.
Three days later he is reading his paper again when she walks up behind him and again smacks him on the back of the head with the frying pan.
"What was that for?"
"Your horse called."

From the several readers wishing me ‘good luck’ on my recent trip to Seattle for my family get-together/memory-making/death-examining event and wondering how it turned out:

Web Meister responds: Perfectly. We didn’t dwell on how we’re going to feel when death is proximately stalking. We focused on sharing intimate moments, one to the other. Over the course of the four days, it was easy to find side-by-side time to discover the highlights of each other’s daily life. And these moments will stand us in good stead when faced with a loss or imminent loss.

Mikhail Nikolayevich Baryshnikov (born January 27, 1948), nicknamed "Misha" (Russian diminutive of the name "Mikhail"), is a Soviet-born Russian and American dancer, choreographer, and actor.
He is often cited alongside Vaslav Nijinsky, Rudolf Nureyev and Vladimir Vasiliev as one of the greatest male ballet dancers in history.

Born in Riga, Latvian SSR, Baryshnikov had a promising start in the Kirov Ballet in Leningrad before defecting to Canada in 1974 for more opportunities in western dance.
After freelancing with many companies, he joined the New York City Ballet as a principal dancer to learn George Balanchine's style of movement.

He then danced with the American Ballet Theatre, where he later became artistic director. Baryshnikov has spearheaded many of his own artistic projects and has been associated in particular with promoting modern dance, premiering dozens of new works, including many of his own.

His success as a dramatic actor on stage, cinema and television has helped him become probably the most widely recognized contemporary ballet dancer.
Since his defection from the Soviet Union in 1974, Baryshnikov has never returned to Russia.

In 1977, he received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor and a Golden Globe nomination for his work as "Yuri Kopeikine" in the film The Turning Point.
He also had a significant role in the last season of the television series Sex and the City and starred in the movie White Nights with Gregory Hines, Helen Mirren, and Isabella Rossellini.

I keep a jar of happiness in here. When my friends need my high-powered me I take a dab of it and touch it to my ears and nose and chin. Presto! I’m ebullient.

Good Morning on this Wednesday, the twenty-ninth day of May, 2019
Our commentary talked about the importance of people with happy personalities.
We posted the weather report and calendar, and tracked the number of our postings.
We’re continuing the testing of our delivery system and asked if anyone would like to be involved in the creation of the blog.
We posted another chuckle and responded to several questions about the nature of our family reunion.
Our q and a from Wikipedia dealt with Mikhail Baryshnikov.

And now? Gotta go.

Che vuoi? Le pocketbook?
See you soon.
