Hello my friends
I'm very happy you are visiting!

June 28

I thought of you yesterday when I saw this upcoming Cirque du Soleil: Corteo coming to Boston and its description.
Seems like just the type of performance you'd be interested in as you contemplate the end of life from every angle.

Hi Dom,

I thought of you yesterday when I saw this upcoming Cirque du Soleil: Corteo coming to Boston and its description. Seems like just the type of performance you'd be interested in as you contemplate the end of life from every angle. If you've never seen a Cirque performance you're in for a treat--though I'm sure you must have. It's always a beautiful and visually poetic experience.

Here's the link:

https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/corteo

Here's the description of the show:

Get carried away with life
The clown Mauro has passed, but his spirit is still with us. Instead of mourning, the funeral cortege celebrates the here and hereafter with laughter and exuberance. Rich, extravagant memories frolic with the senses. The sound of laughter peals around the stage, visions of joyous tumblers and players fascinate the eyes. Regret and melancholy retreat in the face of a cavalcade of lively recollections of a life gloriously lived. A festive parade that entertains; the perfect accolade for an artist whose life was dedicated to revelry and making merry.

Have a good day!

Cheers,

Colleen:)

The hours are ticking away and if we don’t make the most of our time another day will soon click past. Unnoticed. Unappreciated. Tick Tock. In clock language: Enjoy today. Enjoy the week.

Anyone complaining?

Wednesday’s dinner was Filets de Branzini, baked with mussels with an herbed butter/lemon sauce. Delicious. Served it with steamed broccoli crowns and a leftover combination of penne pesto and pieces of fresh tomato.

Chuckle of the Day:
Friday, June 28, 2019

A man asks a farmer near a field, "Excuse me, sir, but would you mind if I crossed your field instead of going around it? You see, I have to catch the 4:23 train."

The farmer says, "Sure, go right ahead, son. And if my bull sees you, you'll even catch the 4:11."

Look to the skies, laugh from the bottom of your soul

A fantasy of flight, a moment of lightness for a soul that must leave behind all earthly delights. When the clowness descends from the heavens, send her on her way again with a delicate touch of love.

Love’s majestic highs Bella! Bella! The lovers of dead clown Mauro gather to reminisce on a life jubilantly lived. Lithe bodies channel bittersweet memories as they dance suspended from a grandiose chandelier.

Good Morning on this Friday, the twenty-eighth day of June, 2019

Our lead picture as well as our Thumbnail pix are all from Cirque du Soleil.
And our commentary is gleaned from the Cirque as well.  A shout out to Colleen G.
We posted the Boston weather report, the ticking calendar, and the growing number of posts as a time marker.
We shared our Wednesday dinner, a fish and mussels bake.
And our chuckle re: the bull and the 4.23 train.
And the thumbnail of the Cirque and their handling of death and grief.

And now? Gotta go.

Che vuoi? Le pocketbook?
See you soon.
Your love.
