I’m in Philly for breakfast with Melissa and Howard, ready to take off for Boston.
Am looking forward to my first home-cooked meal in a month, a simple roast chicken and a plate of al dente Linguini Marinara will do.

Today is Thursday, September 27, 2018
This is my 170th consecutive daily posting.

Time is 5.190am and the weather in Boston is 67* and cloudy.
Expecting to be home at about 7.00pm tonight.
The car has one more start to make: one more since, if it starts, I will not turn it off even during my multitudinous rest stops, until it’s parked safely in my own space in Boston.
Whence I can get it repaired.

Last night Kat and I had dinner with Howard and Melissa at Buddakan.
What a terrific place.
Stylish, well-served, and delicious at every course.

The malfunctioning car has swooped down and devoured some of my time, adding an unwanted air of the unwanted dramatic.
I hope you can forgive this weak little blog as I straggle and stumble home.
Let’s look at two pieces of art that I visited when I was in Chicago, two or three or four weeks ago.

American Collectors David Hockney, (born 9 July 1937) is an English painter, draftsman, printmaker, stage designer and photographer. An important contributor to the pop art movement of the 1960s, he is considered one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century.

Paul Jackson Pollock (January 28, 1912 – August 11, 1956) was an American painter and a major figure in the abstract expressionist movement. He was well known for his unique style of drip painting. During his lifetime, Pollock enjoyed considerable fame and notoriety; he was a major artist of his generation. Regarded as reclusive, he had a volatile personality, and struggled with alcoholism for most of his life. In 1945, he married the artist Lee Krasner, who became an important influence on his career and on his legacy.
